What we hold, and how you get it back or gone.

Kindform collects answers from other people for a living, so this page is written to be read, not skimmed past. No defined terms, no capitalised nouns, no lawyer voice.

Who runs Kindform

Kindform is built and run by JKCA Studio, a design and web studio in California. There is no separate company behind it and no third party we answer to. Questions about anything on this page go to hi@jkca.studio and a person reads them.

Two kinds of people

Kindform sits between two groups, and what we do with your information depends on which one you are.

Account holders

You signed up, you build questionnaires, you read the answers. Your information is ours to look after and this page describes it directly.

Respondents

Someone sent you a Kindform link and you answered questions. Your answers belong to the person who sent the link, not to us. We store them on their behalf and we do not read, sell, share, or use them for anything else. If you want your answers changed or removed, the fastest route is to ask the person who sent you the link. If you cannot reach them, write to us and we will help.

What we store

If you hold an account

If you answered someone's questionnaire

We do not ask you to make an account, set a password, or verify anything to answer a questionnaire. There is nothing else on you to keep.

Please do not use Kindform to collect sensitive information. Card numbers, government ID numbers, health records, and passwords do not belong in a questionnaire. Kindform is not built for them and asking for them here is a bad idea whatever the tool.

Where it lives

All of it sits in one database run by Cloudflare, a large infrastructure company, on their service called D1. The Kindform app runs on Cloudflare too. In practice that means your data is held on Cloudflare's servers, encrypted while it is stored and encrypted again whenever it moves between your browser and us.

Cloudflare's network is worldwide, so we cannot promise your data never leaves a particular country. If that matters to you, it is worth knowing before you sign up rather than after.

Who else touches it

Three outside services, each doing one job:

That is the whole list. We do not sell anything to anyone, we do not run advertising, and we do not feed answers into any advertising or AI training system.

Cookies and tracking

Questionnaire pages carry no analytics and no tracking cookies. If you are answering someone's questions, nothing is watching you. We deliberately kept it that way.

This marketing site (kindform.co) and the signed-in app use Google Analytics so we can see how many people visit and where they get stuck. That is aggregate traffic measurement, not a profile of you.

The only cookie we set ourselves is the one that keeps you signed in to your account. It lasts thirty days, cannot be read by scripts, and disappears when you sign out.

How long we keep it

Honestly: until someone deletes it. There is no automatic clear-out running in the background, because a half-finished intake that quietly vanished after ninety days would be worse than useless to the person waiting on it.

So the retention rule is the plain one. Delete a questionnaire and its answers go with it. Delete your account and everything goes. Otherwise it stays where you put it.

Deleting your account or data

One questionnaire

Open it, scroll to the bottom, choose Delete sheet. The questions, every answer, and every session on it are removed immediately.

Your whole account

Sign in, open Settings, and use Delete my account. You will be asked to type the word DELETE so it cannot happen by accident. When you confirm, we remove your account record, every questionnaire you built, every answer anyone gave you, every session, and every sign-in link tied to your email. It happens straight away and we cannot undo it, so export anything you want to keep first (the Export CSV button on any responses page).

If you are on a paid plan, cancel your subscription in the billing portal before you delete the account. Deleting here removes your data from Kindform, but only Stripe can stop a recurring charge.

Someone else's answers

If you answered a Kindform questionnaire and want that gone, ask whoever sent you the link, since they own it and can delete it in seconds. If you cannot reach them, email hi@jkca.studio with the link you were sent and we will find it and take it from there.

Keeping it safe

What we actually do, not what sounds good: sign-in is by emailed link with no password to leak, and those links expire after fifteen minutes and work once. Sign-in cookies are signed, so one cannot be forged. Every questionnaire is walled off to the account that owns it, checked on every single request. Traffic is encrypted end to end, and stored data is encrypted by Cloudflare.

No one can promise a service is unbreakable. If something goes wrong that affects your data, we will tell you what happened rather than wait to be asked.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, the law may give you the right to see your data, correct it, take it elsewhere, or have it erased. We do not check which rules apply to you before helping. Ask, and we will do it.

Kindform is not meant for children, and accounts are for people aged 18 or over.

Changes to this page

If we change what we collect or who touches it, we update this page and move the date at the top. If the change is a real one rather than a wording fix, account holders get an email about it before it takes effect.
