Terms
The deal, written so you can actually read it.
Using Kindform means agreeing to what follows. It is short on purpose. If a line here surprises you, that is our fault, so tell us.

Who you are dealing with
Kindform is built and run by JKCA Studio, a design and web studio in California. Throughout this page, "we" is JKCA Studio and "you" is whoever holds the account. Reach a person at hi@jkca.studio.
Your account
You sign in with an emailed link, so the security of your account is the security of your email. Keep that inbox to yourself. You must be 18 or over, and the details you give us should be true, mainly so we can reach you when it matters.
One account is meant for one person or one studio. Sharing the sign-in inside your own team is fine. Reselling access, or running someone else's business off your account, is not.
What you can and cannot do with it
Kindform is for asking people questions and reading their answers. Almost everything falls inside that. What does not:
- Sending questionnaires to people who did not ask to hear from you. Kindform is for clients you already have a relationship with, not for cold lists.
- Collecting card numbers, government ID numbers, health records, passwords, or anything else you would not want sitting in a spreadsheet.
- Impersonating someone else, phishing, or anything illegal where you or your respondents live.
- Attacking the service: scraping it, hammering it, hunting for holes, or working around the limits of your plan.
Break these and we can suspend or close your account. For anything dangerous or illegal we will do it immediately and explain afterwards. For everything else you get a heads-up and a chance to fix it.
Whose data is whose
Your questions and the answers you collect are yours. We do not claim ownership, we do not sell them, and we do not use them to train anything. We store them so the product works, and we only open them when you ask us for help with a specific problem.
You are the one responsible for what you ask people and what you do with what comes back. If your respondents are covered by privacy law where they live, meeting those obligations is your job, not ours. We hold the answers on your behalf and delete them when you tell us to.
Kindform itself, the software, the design, the name, stays ours.
Plans and payment
There is a free plan with real limits, and a paid plan. Current prices and limits are on the pricing section of the home page, and that page is the authority, not this one.
- Payment runs through Stripe. We never see your card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically, monthly or yearly, until you cancel.
- If a payment fails, your account drops back to the free plan. Nothing is deleted, but anything over the free limits stops accepting new responses until you sort the payment out.
- If we change the price, existing subscribers get told by email before it hits their next renewal, with enough notice to cancel first.
Cancelling and deleting
Cancel whenever you like, from the billing portal inside the app. Your paid plan runs to the end of the period you already paid for, then stops. We do not refund the unused part of a period as a matter of course, but if something on our end went wrong, email us and we will make it right rather than argue.
Deleting your account is separate and permanent. Settings, then Delete my account. It removes your questionnaires, every answer in them, and your account record, immediately and with no undo. Export what you need first. Deleting the account does not cancel a Stripe subscription, so cancel that first if one is running.
What we promise, and what we do not
We promise to run this properly and fix things quickly. We do not promise the service will never be down, never lose a beat, or fit every use you have in mind. There is no uptime guarantee attached to these plans, and Kindform is provided as it is.
Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. The Export CSV button on any responses page exists for exactly that, and using it now and then is a good habit.
If something goes wrong
If we cause you a loss, what we owe you is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before it happened, and on the free plan that is nothing. We are not on the hook for lost business, lost profit, or knock-on losses. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
Ending it from our side
We can close your account for the reasons in the use section above. If we ever shut Kindform down entirely, account holders get at least thirty days' notice and a window to export everything before anything is deleted. That is a commitment, not a courtesy.
Changes, and the fine print
We may update these terms. The date at the top moves, and for a change that actually affects you we email account holders before it takes effect. Carrying on using Kindform after that means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute belongs in the courts there. If a court strikes out one line, the rest still stands. This page and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us.
